At Midwest CAD we have developed in-house tools to convert between some of the most popular PCB vendor database formats in order to provide rapid PCB design services by utilizing the best that each toolset has to offer. This allows the user to choose the best toolset for a specific design task and interchange data between toolsets as required.

Our first product line in the ProTrans suite interfaces the popular Cadence Allegro® and Mentor Expedition® toolsets. It uses a wizard style interface to guide the designer through a structured translation process. The following is a list of some of the database items/elements that are supported:
